Bioengineer – Microfluidic Process Development
Stratos Genomics is an exciting biotech company developing the next generation of DNA sequencing technology. We are searching for a Bioengineer with experience in microfluidics to help develop microfluidic processes on our high throughput CMOS sensors. In addition, the Bioengineer will assist in data collection, data analysis and modelling.
The Bioengineer will be part of a cross disciplinary team of engineers and scientists, working in a dynamic biotech start-up environment near the Seattle waterfront.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in science/engineering with additional relevant experience.
Experience working with microfluidic devices.
Familiarity with benchtop lab equipment like DC power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes and a good understanding of basic electricity.
Good understanding of basic chemistry and associated lab skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Additional Requirements
Experience with Labview test environment.
Experience with Matlab programming and data processing.
Appreciation of structure-function relationships of organic molecules.
In addition to excellent lab skills, this candidate must exhibit strong analytical ability, good verbal and written communication skills and be well organized with strong attention to detail.
Develop and document test procedures.
Perform testing on microfluidic sensors.
Analyze test results and present findings.
Adhere to Stratos’ policies and support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
